Aamir’s Taare Zameen Par out from the Oscars’ race

TZP Amir khan pretty much sure that his directed venture ‘Taare Zameen Par’ would be nominated for the Oscar Awards but this could not happen making the actor disappointed altogether. The legendary musician A R Rahman emerged as India’s pride after winning the music award for Slumdog Millionaire at Golden Globe but Aamir could not be the lucky for the 81st Academy.

The much acclaimed film, ‘Taare Zameen Par’ could not manage to be nominated for the nine films short-listed in the foreign language category. The nine films, selected from among the 65, which had originally qualified, will now go for the next round of voting. Selection committees in New York and Los Angeles will then pick five nominees from among them. The winner will be announced on 22nd February this year at the awards night.

The news certainly has appeared as a big disappointment to the millions of film’s fans and the entertainment industry because all were pretty sure that the movie about a boy and his teacher would be selected for the Oscars.
